Devoted longtime companion Barbara Marshall of Arlington, father of Richard Whelan of Medford, Maura Sullivan of Merrimack, NH, Michael Whelan of Medford, and the late Kenneth Whelan, and grandfather of Brendan Sullivan. He is also survived by his extended family the McGahan’s. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 325 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT, Tuesday at 9 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St., Arlington, at 10 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. Visiting hours, Monday, 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
